On December 10, 2012 Shelli Stanback stands in front of room of all females. The various ages of women gathered tonight make up the Asheville-based singing group known as Womansong. Shelli was invited to teach the Womansong group a workshop on movement to show the singers how to feel each song beyond
their voices and throats, to more deeply integrate their whole body with the music. The workshop demonstrated that although we often tend to believe and group the singers, artists, and dancers separately in western society, they are each compliments or sisters of the same whole only with a slightly different flavor.
